A B O U T
Lisa Bennett resides in central Pennsylvania. She received her BFA in Photography from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an AA in Photography from Harrisburg Area Community College. She has exhibited her artwork in various galleries, craft shows and arts institutions in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New York, Chicago and Boston. Her work has also been published in KnitKnit magazine (New York), 3rdFloor magazine (Baltimore) and a limited edition publication by Harrisburg film organization Moviate.
While living in New York City, she was an active member of the craft collective The Church of Craft.
Currently, Lisa is the curator of the Yellow Wall Gallery at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore and the founder/director of Art Kaleidoscope, a monthly community art event in Harrisburg, PA. She is the co-founder of CatHawk Industries, which specializes in photography, video and other creative services. And, in her spare time, she makes stuffed weaponry to sell in her Etsy shop, The Textile Armory.
